Today, I found out some recent scientific discovery made and some really really made me surprised at how far science has gone.
ANOTHER PLANET IN OUR SOLAR SYSTEM.
In September2015 a group of international scientists discovered what appears to be a new dwarf planet orbiting at the edge of our solar system.
It was named RR-245 and its approximately twice as far as Neptune is from the sun, It takes 120 times longer to make a complete revolution around the sun that earth does.
MEDICINE DELIVERY NANO MACHINES.
Early in 2015, Scientists for the first time delivered medicine in an animal via NANO machines.
These microscopic machines traveled into the body of a mouse to inject nano quantities of a medicine in its stomach lining. This may be a huge breakthrough in medical history since the method left the mouse unharmed.
EPIGENOMES.
Scientists have recently finished reconstructing the most accurate map of the human epigenome thus far. The epigenome is similar to a construction manual for our genome the bedrock of out human existence.
It's important to understand our genome construction so that scientists can make further discoveries about genome expression. Without the epigenome there is no telling what kind of catastrophy will befall the genome.
ANTIBODIES.
In February 2015, scientists synthesized a protein antibody capable of supporting the immune system of monkeys against HIV.
Despite having being injected with a large dosage of the virus, four monkeys were able to avert the disastrous effect of HIV because of this new medical development. Human trials are sure to begin shortly.
ANCIENT REPLICATORS.
Researchers discovered the first single cell molecule that may have been responsible for ancient cell division approximately 800 million years ago.
This single cell organism named Gk-PID was capable of self replication, a process that divides an organism into two identical cell with same chromosome set.
GLASS STORAGE.
Scientist at London University of Southampton have recently device a technique for storing 360 terabytes of data and the data can last at least 13 billion years.
The device is made from synthetically structured nanoglass making for a vast storage space about the size of a coin. The method is called 5 dimensional data storage and can encode any information imprinted on it...Say goodbye to flash drives.
SYNTHETIC LEAVES.
January 2015, A student in London discovered the first ever man made leaf.
The leaf is made from silk protein and functions like a regular leaf, chloroplast from real leaf is incorporated to produce the effect of photosynthesis in their product. Although still in infancy, these leaves could be used to produce astronauts with oxygen while in space.
WATER ON MARS.
Flowing water in Mars have finally been discovered by scientists. NASA was able to provide evidence of flowing water on Mars.
Reoccurring slopes linea that could only be formed by liquid streams allowing scientists to deduce the existence of water. NASA concluded that water on Mars does not flow consistently but in intervals.
NEW HUMAN SPECIE.
This specie known as Homo Naledi found in South Africa, deep in an underground cave and is considered one of the greatest human collection here on earth.
So far it is know that this specie grew to an average of 5ft and have brains no larger than an orange.

BIONIC LENS.
This contact lens will give wearers the ability to see the world with stronger than 2020 vision.
Some subjects who have already tried the lens claimed that they now not only see better than before have identified a unique spectrum of colours unfamiliar to the unaided eye.

HARDER THAN DIAMOND.
What gives Diamonds their excellent hardness are the chemical bond that holds them together.
The bonds in the diamonds are held together by an incredibly tight chemical bond at the microscopic level giving diamonds their prominent hardness. By the manipulation of carbon atoms, scientists were able to augment their chemical bonds to producing a material that's potentially 60 times harder than diamonds.

FIRST MAMMALS.
Researchers from the University of Edinburgh have discovered an ancient species of mammals that survived the notorious extinction of the dinosaurs over 65 million years ago.
The significance of this finding is that it gives us a glimpse of how mammals ruled the world previously dominated by their cold blooded counterparts. They appeared to be plant eaters closely resembling a modern beaver.
WHALE GENE MAPPING.
Scientist have finally discovered why Bowhead whales live so long (200 years old) by remapping their entire genome.
It's longitivity is due to its gene's effectiveness in repairing gene deterioration which is the cause of cancer and all other ailments known to cut human life short. Buy studying this animal's genes scientists might be able to correct our own faulty genetic systems substantially lengthening our lives.
SECOND EARTH.
Kepler 452B orbits the sun in what scientists call Habitable zone in space not too far or close from the sun necessary for the ability of life to flourish.
The new planet appears to have a rocky surface as well as liquid water which is conducive for life.
ANIMAL REANIMATION.
Imagine reanimation of our ancient dinosaurs. It would be cool if we have our hairy mammoth back you know!
Scientists believe it is possible to recreate extinct beasts by cloning them with DNA and tissue samples which have been found over the years preserved in ice.
At sight of this, I was wowed. Science has really taken mankind far and is still taking us even farther.
